I saw two trailers stacked very high with household appliances they picked up off the road.

Are these guys gonna repair them or recycle them? What's the avg value of a previously flooded appliance?

Repair and craigslist. Or just hoard them for parts

they're running all over Denham Springs impeding traffic flow looking in neighborhoods. I really wish they would stop but i know it's not going to happen.

Depends on the appliance. They spend a few hundred on parts and sell it for a small profit. Probably about $100 profit for each appliance. Talking about stoves, freezers, and refrigerators.

Taking them to scrap metal yard in Port Allen. You can get some legit money doing that.

More than likely they will salvage parts and repair those that can.

With the number of people that were not insured I would think that there will be a market for used appliances.

I was helping a friend clean up yesterday. We tossed a $4500 refrigerator to the curb. Couldn't help but think there had to be some sort of residual value especially considering the house took "only" 36 inches of water

I wish people knew how to tie that shite down because it keeps falling all over the interstate.
