On a given Monday, how bad is traffic if traveling from the hotels on I-10 and College to Southern University. 20 years ago I lived in BR and would not ask this question, but I see a lot of complaints these days on here about traffic.

Thanks in advance!

It's usually just slow but steady about 730-830. Rarely a dead stop. Use googley maps or Waze to check that out. If it's backed up. Just take College to Foster to Govt and get on 110 north of the Bridge. If 110 is Jacked up for some reason heading north past the bridge(very unusual), make your way to Scenic and get to SU that way.

It backs up on N-110(right lane) getting off at the airport/Harding exit towards Plank Road between 4-6pm.....clears up after that

True that. I see it coming South and be like "DAYUM!" some days.

But OP is going from College Drive to SU on a Monday Morning I thought.

The 10/110 split is always the problem going either way. It's much easier in the morning going north/west. But coming back that way anywhere from 2 to 6 PM it's always clogged up, particularly after the curve by the state capitol.

Is the Southern exit as respected as the LSU exit?
