In South Carolina it's Edisto Beach but I really did enjoy Singer Island, Florida.

The Florida keys are rocky coral islands. The beaches in the Florida panhandle is the answer.

For setting up beach chairs with beer, kiddos running around, and comfortable warm water, I have yet to see a prettier/better setup than the panhandle.
For pure scenery, there are better beaches though
