Did someone misread “Rice’s whale” as “rice with whale”?

So whales that can hear something from miles away would benefit if big arse motherfricking ships slowed down a tad.

Will the hurricanes traveling this route need to slow down as well?

This will definitely slow down Captain Paul Watson and the Sea Shepard crew.

Seems hard to say with any certainty in number, but it seems to be an issue, particularly with certain species. I don't have an issue with practical measures and efforts to try to help. This seems practical, and has proven to work elsewhere.

A decent short article from the L.A. Times

I prefer to save the lives of the thousands of fish whales eat every day.

Whales are the ocean's version of the 600 lb dude who shows up at the buffet line and just wipes it all out in one gluttonous passing.

How many fish does a balleen whale eat? When we're down to 50 krill, I'll join your cause.
