In a complaint, the Calleguas Municipal Water District points the finger at former "Magnum P.I." star Tom Selleck. And they say they hired a real P.I. to prove it. Selleck had huge amounts of water from a public hydrant delivered to his sprawling Hidden Valley ranch, according to court documents filed against the veteran actor.
quote:
The Calleguas Municipal Water District said in its complaint filed Monday in Ventura County Superior Court that on more than a dozen occasions since 2013, a white truck filled up at a Thousand Oaks hydrant and hauled the water to Selleck’s 60-acre ranch in Westlake Village.
quote:
Selleck and his wife have lived for nearly three decades at the ranch, which also includes an avocado farm. The complaint comes as California's historic drought drags on and residents are tasked with slashing water use by 25%.

I'm all for it as long as it pisses off CA liberals. Keep it up, Magnum!

haha, its fun to laugh at California.
Even though my yard is still wet, i'll think i'll go water it today for my homies in Cali.

Meanwhile, they will take to Twitter to decry the enviornmental issue du jour committed by others.

I wonder if someone could make a fortune building a pipeline and shipping water to California.

My yard has been soggy for at least a week. If Selleck wants to come collect my runoff, I won't complain.

make it a multiplying fine with mandatory public service time.

They already steal enough water from other people, so I don't see them paying for what they can just take.

I hope they don't find Delta Smelt in Bayou Teche

Or they could get into the salt business.
There's one desalination plant in the country, in Tampa Bay.
Takes the salt out of salt water, sells the salt, uses the fresh water for the city.
Sure it's more expensive, but that seems right up Cali's ally.

Selleck should be embarrassed that he isn't giving away all that water to the poor, poor pistachio farmers.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't work or at least it wasn't last time I heard about it

Maybe if they didn't have so many illegals there consumption wouldn't be so limited.

This!! My former employer offered to build them these plants on a "toll-payoff" basis. They said no because of they way they looked, and the potential of hurtingt he poor baby fish. Australia has tons of them.
Frick California!!
