Now they did all of that to get the kid in the oven and to start it, but yet couldn't simply open the door to let out ?

I've literally never seen a 3 year old tall enough to get to a traditional ovens controls unless you climb on the counter.

Children that are often left alone do a lot to entertain themselves....like move chairs and climb on stuff. Also they have to get the food, cups and bowls for drinking/eating which are often higher.

an oven is not that hard to turn on, and usually easy to reach for children. Atleast mine is...I mean kids love to turn knobs and stuff like that anyway. It literally takes a turn of a knob
