I've come to the conclusion drinking is a giant waste of money and it's not worth bring hungover all day anymore

you may call it a waste, but I absolutely fricking LOVE being drunk, so I don't think it's a waste at all.

And if your main issue is being hungover the entire next day, sounds like need to take some extra precautions while drinking to prevent that.

Not me. I know how to consume responsibly and drink water. Excessive drinking is just borrowing happiness from tomorrow. Only difference is that it takes 2 days to recover at my age instead of 4-5 hours like in college.

I sure could use a Bloody Mary or three. But it will pass and last night was a good one that I'd happily do over.

Yep, the main difference between then and now for me is sleep, not being able to sleep until noon the next day ushers in the age of hangovers. Dont usually consume enough anymore to get one though.

I used to absolutely love Sunday drinking. Now a days I don't recover until Wednesday or so and it is not worth it until football season starts.
