meh, people do that shite all the time to utility workers, especially when they don't get their power turned on for a few days.

From the article:
quote:

Ferchaud could not say in which neighborhood the threats occurred or how many customers in that area were affected. But work crews will return to the neighborhood today with a police escort, she says.

I'll give you three guesses and the first two won't count.

In their defense, they were waiting to see if the government would offer them extra assistance for storm damage and no power for a few days...

This happened a lot in the northeast after Hurricane Sandy. IIRC, there were parts of Hartford, CT where all the power crews were pulled out due to threats. The best part was that it delayed their hook ups by a good bit.

You should see what happens when you try to turn off their power. My dad used to hang out with the police and Entergy reps when they did it for insurance purposes. After a couple of times out, they found two massive cops who would just carry shotguns because of all the threats.

ATT Uverse has been worse to me, but I will my parents internet/phone/cable have been dogshit for almost the past year. They are thinking about changing services even though they've been with Cox for 14 years now.

I've been making my guesses by throwing darts at a BR map. My elbow must be stiff because I keep hitting areas in the top portion of the map.

i hate cox AND at&t. i have direct tv and cox internet. i probably will stick with direct to be honest. i'm approaching the end of my contract... and they've always been good to me. send me new remotes, etc. although i'm going to need to negotiate my price down. 145$/mo is too much... that doesn't even include my MLB package i wanted.

We had a big ice storm in the 90s and some places were without power for a month. Power crews were restoring main lines first and individual house drops last. Power was restored to one neighborhood except one house due to damage to his line from the house to the pole. Homeowner was so pissed he got his chainsaw and cut down one of the main poles so nobody in the neighborhood could have power. He got some electricity and hot water when he got to the jail.
