It's right by the river. There will be gators in that pond soon. PETA will protest the removal and $280,000+ goes to waste.

Sadly, it is.
I will say that most pit bull owners I have encountered at the dog park do a good job of being a responsible owner. However, there are quite a few that don't and have no business handling a dog like that, since they can't even handle any type of dog, toy breeds included. Period.

You are not supposed to leave your animals unsupervised at the dog park. That's usually made clear by the signs.
