All are pretty good / classic names. It's funny how rare some of those names are with kids these days, but when I was growing up there were several Josh's that I know. I can't remember the last time I've seen that name used for a kid these days.

Use Worrick as the middle name. If your kid likes it more later in life, he can go by it if he wants.

The only one I'm not too fond of is Ellie.

Interesting that’s it’s on trend to name your kid old names now.

Liam, Theodore, Nora, etc. you hear all the time now. People keep bringing up the Jaxon trend but that’s been finished for a while now. It’s all about how old timey you can get.

My wife and I also waited until birth to find out the sex of our kids. It was surprising how much additional interest she got from nurses. She is convinced that not knowing got her more attention which led to better care.

How do you know how much attention other moms were getting?

Ellie

Typically this is a nickname, is it not? The only Ellie's I know are actually named Eleanor & Ellen. Of course I know it's common in some places (I'm looking at you Houma) to name your kid the nickname like Ted, Betty, Jay, Liz, Bill, Jenny, etc.

It still seems more trendy for the common modern names - Aiden, Kayden, Brayden, Jackson, Braxton, etc.

But you are right. I have noticed some of the traditional / classic names becoming popular again.

Very true. Growing up I knew no one that shared my first name which was cool with me. I liked the uniqueness of it. Now, not only is it common, but there are several different combinations of it.

Joshua...always solid.
Jacob...not bad.
Elijah...don't
Theodore...what would you call him?
Worrick - family name...that's not a name.
Ethan...you want him To be in a class with 5 other Ethans?

Girl
Estelle...very popular now.
Aubrey...don't.
Judith...not bad.
Olivia...see Ethan comment but double it.
Ellie...The Ellie/Ella phenomenon I have never understood.

This is fine for a middle name.

Plain old Tristan by itself isn't clever enough. Seems like it should have a 'y' in it if it's going to replace jaxsen/jaxson/jaxon/jaxsan.

Olivia is a beautiful name, but is so popular now that it's become the new Heather or Ashley. Every third girl in her kindergarten class will be Olivia as well.
