Look into some of the places in downtown FWB or on Okaloosa Island near the many beach accesses. During the winter there is not a big difference between the crowds in downtown FWB and Destin.

I don't know what I will enjoy more: thinking of you stuck in traffic for 2 hours on a Friday afternoon at the Wallace Tunnel, or having you through $20 in our hopper everytime you go to the beach.

mbrous8, I hava a buddy about to list his Ft. Walton 2bed 2bath condo located at Waterscape. Waterscape has a great pool with a lazy river.

More family. Okaloosa Island has a height limit on condos so beaches aren't as crowded.
