Those that went back to school later in life, did you go to your graduation?

I got my BSN this year. Completely online program. My graduation is tomorrow and I'm going. Figure I paid enough for it, might as well officially celebrate it and walk in the ceremony.

I know others that didn't bother going. What did my other fellow OT late learners do?

not exactly the same but I entered a masters program a year after I graduated from undergrad...I didn't want to attend the ceremony but my family was having nothing of it.

I'm definitely going to walk at my Med school graduation though in 2020

No, because I would go through the whole semester and realized I completely missed a coarse by the time finals came around...

No wait, that was a dream...

As you should, that is certainly something to celebrate

Many of my classmates in my various classes lived all over the U.S. (since it was an online program). I could understand not going if it involves travel. But...with the physical campus 30 minutes from my house I figured why not.

I didn't walk when I graduated, but I graduated in December and would have had to come back to walk in May since they did not have a Fall graduation ceremony. My parents were pissed but I paid my way through.

Grats Nurse!

You should definitely go and make your entire family sit through the ceremony.

I did only because my wife wanted me to. She helped put me through school so I figure it was the least that I could do.

I was only given 6 tickets to give to family/friends. But now that my parents and younger siblings are here in AZ....they will get to see it as well as my husband and aunt.

Another reason I'm walking...I knew it would give my parents something positive to see. My dad still struggles with adjusting to living out here at times. I need something positive for him to see.

I did and ended up pissed off, I had the best GPA in my class and the award was given to my arch rival.
