This moment rises above much of the ugliness from Saturday's KKK rally at the South Carolina Capitol. An elderly man, who appears to be part of the white supremacist protest group, was struggling in the heat. An African-American state trooper helps him to shelter and water.

Is that cop distracting the man, and keeping his back turned so that his partner can shoot his dog?

So the cop isn't supposed to aid the man and just watch him whither in the heat?

Pretty sure he was "punched in" and just was doing his job. we'd think lesser of him if he didn't do what he's paid, by the people, to do.

Another non story.

if some can attach too much importance to a piece of cloth, then others can attach too much attention to a picture

Nice swastika shirt. And his wife is wearing the Iron Cross.

I love when old people dress alike, it's so cute.

The cop may feel sorry him and realize the man's ignorance and attributes it to the man's upbringing. I know I would.

It appease them and panders to their sensibilities.

"its okay to be racist or ignorant, there will also be a good black to forgive me? I may learn from this but im not gonna evovle too much because at that point, we're letting them win"

I'm just glad there was no rioting or burning.

The other side could learn something from these peacefull protestors
