Well yeah ignore the outliers showing less than an inch next to a couple that show 3-4 inches. The general idea is that the Baton Rouge area has already seen 3-6 inches, with less amounts further south

The problem will come for the BR area when we see big rain totals north of the area.

Canals are at capacity. People are about to be in some major trouble.

All I know is I'm in Addis and we had a steady heavy rain for a while. Hopefully we get a good break for a while so some of this water can drain

Are we in an El Niño weather pattern or has all this rain just been a “shite happens” South Louisiana thing? I’ve had plenty of wet winters here but there was always a driving factor behind them.

1 lane is closed on I-10 eastbound about a or so mile before the highland exit, the entire lane is under in some spots.

Bluebonnet southbound at Highland was also under and had two cars stalled out. It was about 2:15 when I passed and it had to have just happened because Bluebonnet wasn’t backed up yet. I guess the bayous and creeks can’t take anymore and the water is taking over the roadway. I don’t recall that part of Bluebonnet flooding before.

Not that bad. It’s gotten in the right lane before but that was over the whole road.

I am talking about the section just past Harveston.

I also saw the area near Harveston but wasn’t sure if it was an accident or water in the road. I was turning into Bluebonnet from Nicholson and saw the lights so immediately turned around and went Gardere. I figured things would have been fine since the rain had slacked off for a couple of hours. I guess all the extra rain from north of us is coming down this way and everything is already full.

Was the water near Harveston from the newly built canals where they are about to begin major work or from the Harveston side? Imagine when all of that area is concrete.

Is apple weather the most useless gauge on planet earth? Registering 1/2 inch of rain for Baton Rouge and I haven’t seen widespread flooding like this in a long time

All you assholes who were pissing and whining back in September about the drought, I hope you flood first.
I will never understand why anyone in South Louisiana bitches about a lack of rain. Tht is one thing we never have a shortage of.
