These are likely paid protestors.
I fully support the right to protest. But, no matter what your cause, the right to protest does not allow you to trespass, obstruct roads, etc. The road obstruction groups are the worst because they are tromping over the rights of everyone else. This is particularly bad because and they have no beef with the individuals affected by the road blockage.
My very liberal poli sci professor said it best: When protestors resort to trespass, violence, and obstruction, they do so because they are (1) incapable of presenting their issue in a compelling way or (2) supporting an issue that has little merit.
You don't need violence, obstruction, and trespass to gain support for a worthy cause.
