The beginning of something for me, that I had no ability to feel, see, or even know of its existence. It started out as just background noise and a warm touch on my skin. But soon, it was what I could recognize immediately as something that was good, wanted and needed. Of course it was unconditional love from my mom. As humans, none of us can remember the infancy of this, but I like to think this is where all the good in any of us comes from. It changes as the years go, to us. We are blinded by our own stupidity and selfishness. We push away from her because we are trying to learn our way. None of it is stronger than what she has for us. She is always there in the distance or sometimes right in your face hoping you move in the right direction. Enjoy the physical of all this now, for it does not last. She will have to leave us one day. Her love, will never. Thanks for everything, thinking of you new years day. Love Darin.

Have you lost your mom? If so, I'm sorry. Mom's are an awesome thing.

That was well said.

If you are unsettled about it I hope you find peace.

I lost mine in 07. Indescribable pain. I now have a job destroying the disease that took her. Won't ever stop missing her.

No, she was great. Just sharing with others who still have a Mom to talk with.

Lost my mom last March to cancer, and this first holiday season without her was very tough. She was only 43. Through all the tough years I've had through school and growing up, she was always the most loving and supportive person I knew and helped me push through it all.

Like you said, enjoy the physicality of her love, because it does not last and is something I miss everyday. Mom's (or mother figures) are the best.

I lost my Mom nearly 14 years ago and I still think about her constantly. She was an amazing woman who deserved so much better than to die unexpectedly. To everyone out there tell your mom how much you appreciate her and learn to not sweat the small stuff.

Don't I know it. She raised me by herself.
