Are you implying that ocean water temperatures fluctuate with the seasons?

go watch hang gliders at Torrey Pines.
I played golf there when I was there, and we watched them after. It was pretty cool. The cliffs there are pretty cool for pictures.

Go to Coronado and you have access to beach there and to most of the hotel itself. They have a water taxi you can take that way as well.

Go to Point Loma it's actually Cabrillo National Park and gives you a great view of that area, also drive down to the tide pools, awesome view as well

They have a tour you can take to LaJolla which has several stops at Torrey Pines and the hang gliding cliffs. Hang gliding depends on weather conditions. Kayak the coves in LaJolla.

Gas Lamp is a little overated, best meal I had was actually in the Little Italy area.

Highly recommend the zoo, it's massive and incredible, you can take a train ride to see all parts of the zoo and then walk the sections you want.

Mexican food in Old Town is good as well.

Fish tacos are the best casual meal I had there.

Pretty much need a wet suit to do anything in ocean year round. It's cold in the Pacific.

If you're young and single, spend some time on the San Diego St. campus.

Purposely left this detail out to prevent the posts asking for pics

And I think I will pass on joining the Navy, but all other suggestions have been great. The Broncos play the Chargers in town that weekend so I think I might go check that out in my Drew Brees jersey.

Are you implying that there is no temperature fluctuation? It only varies about 10 degrees, and it's cold all the time... But it's definitely better in August.

ETA-The last time I was in SD, we went snorkeling in La Jolla and the water was a toasty (not really) 71 degrees. We had no wetsuits.
