Things to do in Hot Springs, Arkansas

The wife and I just got here this evening and we are staying in a hotel on the "strip". I haven't been here in over 20 years so I don't know what all there is to do on the town on a Friday night. We just walked down the strip a little ways and it seems to be a ghost town. Any recommendations on any fun spots to hit on or near the strip?

We did the same thing a few years back. Worst decision we made as far as destination. We found one bar that had live music. That's it.

It's our destination. Got ourselves a kid-free anniversary weekend and are staying at a historic hotel with a bath house. We just stopped off at an oyster/sports bar called Fat Jacks to get started with.

Go eat at Central Park Fusion. It's the best restaurant in town. Breakfast at the Pancake House. It been there forever. Bring cash though. If you are a high roller, sit in the jockey club at Oaklawn. Otherwise you'll be down with the chain smoking Hoi Polloi. It's still can be fun if you've never done the races before. Ronaldo's and Colorado Grill are other good eats. Go get drinks at the Arlington.

There's the casino, bath Houses, a lookout tower you can go to during th day. McClard's BBQ is really good.
