Yep. We are one of the few approved Architects for U-Club.

I've lived there for two years and love it. At first I was put off because of how far out it is, but it doesn't take long to get places from there. There's no traffic and you can go 60 down Nicholson. My one complaint is having to go 30 down bluebonnet once you get to harveston. Adding the gym and pool is awesome. I recommend this neighborhood to anyone who can afford it.

I agree, I work downtown so it's actually closer to my office than our previous home, and I don't have to deal with the interstate any longer, which is nice. Nicholson or River Road are both good options to or from U-Club.

I joined the club this year and have enjoyed it. There are days here and there when they have tournaments but it's not outrageous. The dues and fees are very reasonable despite what the other guy was saying. I have been very pleased with the course and all the people that work there.

I would recommend Mark Mathews to anyone. He can be a little slow due to his workload, but he is really good at what he does and definitely worth it. He was very patient with us through numerous changes and even came out to the job site when the contractor said he drew something wrong...which of course he didn't. The GC had it wrong. At the end of the day, we have a beautiful home thanks to Mark.

Well it was built originally to be able to host tournaments, more so than other private clubs so this is something anyone joining should be aware of.

UC makes upwards of 300K a year from hosting different tournaments. Im not a member but know several who are and their #1 complaint is getting a tee time.

Tell them to make friends, get in the money games and there are set tee times for those game 4 days a week.

Biggest problem with the club. Want to play on a saturday morning? You better know the saturday before. You aren't going to call on a thursday or friday and play saturday morning. For what they charge, they have way too many members.

The other problem is that it is a somewhat shitty membership who have no idea how to take care of a course. Raking bunkers and fixing ball marks are optional.

Sounds like someone needs to test the waters on a rate increase and give you a raise.

Well I don't know what they make but as I said it was built to host LSU and college golf as well as other tournaments so I would hope this is being told to new prospective members that might not have been aware of this. I would guess most people that grew up here would know this.
