Samsung ends production after issuing worldwide recall

The announcement follows yesterday's news that the company is recalling all Note 7 devices, including the supposedly safe replacement phones.
Samsung issued the worldwide recall yesterday after at at least five replacement Note 7 handsets caught fire over the past week. "Samsung will ask all carrier and retail partners globally to stop sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note 7," said the company yesterday. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission commended the decision, with chairman Elliot Kaye saying: "It is the right move for Samsung to suspend the sale and exchange of all Galaxy Note 7s."

That's why I bought an LG phone.. Really wanted a Galaxy, but my Verizon guy said better stay away.

It's ok for cell phones to cause cancerous brain tumors, but start a little fire and they can't get them off the shelves fast enough.

switched from an iphone (user since 2008) to a glaxy s7 edge last month.
so much better of a phone. hope it don't explode
