The "Rickey Smiley Morning Show" is ridiculous on race-related issues...

I was flipping through and landed on this show this morning....wow, I normally don't give two shits about what ignorant people have to say, but it's easy to see that the entire community of young black people are being fed lies everyday on a nationally syndicated radio show about how the police are out to get them and that there's a trend of young black males being executed by white cops for being black.
Ultimately their opinions don't mean shite, but national media spreading grass roots lies about faux racism is one of the main reasons it's not going anywhere for years to come. Breeding an entire new generation of "victims"

A black male is far more likely to be killed by another black male than by a cop.
This doesn't mean that there aren't racial disparities in the justice system. There are. The militarization of the police is an issue that needs to be discussed and addressed.

A black dude called our local show the other morning and has convinced himself (and is trying to convince others) that blacks are the original Israelites and are God's true chosen people and all whites are "the devil" and are going to hell no matter what their beliefs are.
The sad part is the dude sounded incredibly intelligent.....well except for the whole his opinion makes him sound completely batshit crazy.

Rickey Smiley is one of the most ignorant-sounding, racist radio 'personalities' out there. Powerful black leaders in the world who don't think of race are apparently fake blacks or sellouts. Every successful black man is an 'Uncle Tom'. It's almost like to him, in order to be part of the movement, you need to live in poverty, or do ignorant shite to truly understand.

Describe the militarization of police to me.
If you're going to use the halftrack from ferguson for reference, was that not the most effective vehicle to avoid injury from protestors throwing fire bombs and still disperse riots in the middle of busy streets?

I worked with a guy like that. He insisted that black people could live forever if it wasn't for whites.

Cops are out to prevent crime and/or arrest people who have committed crimes. If a large percentage of crime is committed by a particular demographic, then that's who the cops are going to "get". They aren't "getting" black people because of the color of their skin. They're "getting" them because they commit a large % of crime. That's not racism, that's math.

There are FAR less black males being executed by white cops simply for being black today than there were 30, 40, 50 years ago. The only reason it seems like a "trend" today is because we now have the internet and social media where essentially anyone can be a "reporter", along with multiple 24 hours news stations that have to fill time 365 days a year. They basically have to manufacture "news" to keep from having dead air.
Finally, when someone of any race is "executed" by a copy, they are generally involved to some degree in some kind of illegal activity, or they have decided to fight with the cop. These "executions" never seem to involve a cop just rolling up on Joe Blow mowing his lawn unsuspectingly shooting him in the back of the head. Both the white and black people that I know who have made efforts to be law abiding citizens and avoid putting themselves in positions where criminal activity may be taking place have all somehow miraculously avoided situations where the potential for execution by cop was present
