In Denton, Texas, the City Council approved $8.1 million over 22 years in sales tax reimbursements to lure a Buc-ee's to Interstate 35 north of Dallas. In Boerne, Texas - northwest of San Antonio - elected officials agreed in 2016 to allow the company to keep half of the sales taxes generated for 20 years.
