The rise is likely only temporary. Supply is still far outpacing demand and reserves are still crazy high. Any rise more than likely won't last past the Summer which is peak driving/travel season. You'd think Jack Daniel would know this since he is allegedly a crude purchaser but he made one of the dumbest statements about oil and production I have ever read. He can't be very good at his job.

I was waiting for my plane home in Las Vegas last month, and I was right by the NOLA terminal. There was a baw sitting across from us with a tattoo on his forearm of an oil rig with words "Oil Field Trash" encased in it. I wanted to get a picture and post it on here, but didn't want to take a picture of a random person.

At $100/bbl, gas was what? $3? Maybe a little higher?
Now if the price per barrel goes from 40 to 45, the price at the pump jumps 50 cents

I hope it doesn't. Anyone complaining about the oil bust should know historically oil goes up and down in a cycle. If they couldn't handle the down cycle then they should have done something else instead of going into the oil field. I feel for those that have families that depend on them but I wonder how many have stay at home spouses or how many are eyeball deep in debt.
