Went out to dinner tonight and it is indeed chilly. 8 out of 10 people were wearing The North Face Jackets and vests.

It must be winter in Florida.

No reason to be so self-conscious about your Old Navy fleece.

Old Navy is for Teens. The North Face is for rich folks.

I'm sure you're super different with your rare Patagonia or Columbia.

Columbia stuff are actually very comfortable. I love The Noth Face jackets... I have one myself but I just find it funny that everybody else does as well.

For twenty years now people have been copying GTSwarms when it comes to outer-wear.

I think the North Face book bags are more out of control. I bought a Jansport for $45 freshman year of undergrad and that thing has gone through a masters and is in med school with me.

I do have a North Face jacket for several years that has done me really well.

Today I wore a North Face vest with a Patagonia hat. Later switched to HI-TEC down jacket. Kept the hat. Later switched from Red Wing boots to LL Bean. Oh, wore the same jeans and shirt throughout. My wife also put a vest on my black lab. I threw it in a fire and told her he chewed it.

So, what will the next "North Face" type outerwear fad be? Does the company already exist? What are the true people in the know wearing now that North Face is what everyone is wearing?

Damn.. yea.. I am too cheap for that shite. I'll stick with my North Face, Columbia and Brooks Brothers fleeces.

I love my huge Nike jacket that I bought on sale. That sucker is a blast to camp or ski with.

I got this one on sale for $120(normally around $200) this summer. Have only worn it a couple times but love it so far. Thing is really thin and compact(zips into a basically the size of a small travel pillow) but surprisingly really warm.
