How close is this to Columbia? Close enough to destroy it?

Good, St. Louis and Memphis need some renovations.

Pretty far away. An earthquake that big, and Columbia would be the least of your worries..

Come on do what you did
Roll me under New Madrid
Shake my baby and please bring her back
'Cause death won't even be still
Caroms over the landfill
Buries us all in its broken back

I would give a " " but the reality is that all those low-information-voters would be relocated elsewhere. I'd rather they just stay concentrated in one spot.

Big deal.
Everyone knows that big earthquakes only happen on the West Coast and in faraway lands where they have sea monsters and stuff.Nothing to see here.

Pectus,
What are the odds of the New Madrid experiencing a significant event in our lifetimes (say the next 30 years)?
