So you've seen this happen? If you're sure it's their dog and not some other dog, just go and tell them what's happening. They'll either be good neighbors about it or not. The time to start a thread about it is after you've asked them to stop and they don't.

Pellet guns are great for this problem.

Put some peanut butter in a ziploc bag. Cut a bottom corner off the bag. Squeeze the bag so it works like one of those things a baker uses to decorate pastries. Squeeze peanut butter onto the piles of poop; the fresher the better.

The piles will disappear (for the most part) and you neighbor's dog will have poop around its face and horrible breath.

Of course I'm just kidding. I would never do this to an innocent dog. Go talk to the neighbor and keep it friendly.

Make a big deal out of it. (Oh, you're doing that, now.)

Between uproar over cops killing dogs, pitbulls=trashy, a driver being a tPOS for hitting an unleashed dog on a highway, and somebody wanting to light a dog on fire for shitting in someone else's yard...I really don't know what to think.

Easy. Everyone on the OT is a cop.

Talk to the neighbor's sisters or whoever the frick is watching the dog before taking it out on the dog. Sorry but dogs don't exactly have the ability to distinguish property lines; they smell where they've done it before and they go back to the same place to do it again.

BB gun. Will not kill the dog but will associate pain with coming in your yard.

So shoot someone's dog while they're in the hospital for nothing more than being a dog? You shoot my dog, even with a BB gun, without confronting me about the problem first and we'd have a serious issue; and you'd better bring more than a BB gun.

Dude should at least talk to the sitters first. If they wanna be dicks, then fine, do what you want to the dog and the owner can deal with the sitters.

yeah I agree. its not the dogs fault just like the other thread I just commented on. no reason to shoot the dog but my dad used to use a bb gun on neighbors dogs and it always only took 2 times and they would never come back.

funny thing was my mom was the one that would have a fit and then have a fit after pops fixed the problem. women

that's why I spread cayenne pepper around my yard. Once a dog sniffs it they immediately turn around and leave the yard.

I get some strange looks from the dog walkers when I'm outside or if they see me spreading the cayenne pepper. I had one lady ask me what I was doing, I straight up told her exactly what I was doing and why. She doesnt walk on my side of the street anymore.

My neighbor across the street had this problem. He asked his neighbor to keep his dog's turds out of his yard but the problem continued. So he started picking up the poo and putting it on the perpetrator's front doorstep. Problem solved.
