Makers Mark or Knob Creek if I'm going that route.

Macallan 12 or better if I'm going scotch route.

ETA:

recently been on a double Ketel One with a splash of soda kick.

Looks like our taste in Bourbon is in lock step. I'm also pretty fond of Wild Turkey Rare Breed on occasion. My day to day bourbon is Wild Turkey 101 or sometimes Maker's Mark though.

South Dakota and North Dakota are not Jack Daniels states. If anything it's a combination of Captain Morgan and Fireball.

Alot of people also drink whiskey, mostly Canadian whiskeys like Crown Royal, Lord Calvert, Black Velvet, and Canadian Club. One Canadian whiskey doesn't really dominate.

Fireball also pretty popular across Minnesota and Wisconsin. You have to think about the activities surrounding your drinking. Lots of ice fishing in the winter up here and Fireball goes hand in hand with that. Used to be Jagermeister but now I see more people drinking Fireball.

They must have gotten NY confused with North Baton Rouge.

I was in Minn recently and noticed Fireball seemed to be the fad drink now. At least that was the case until we showed them the gallon of good Tennessee Shine we brought with us.

In Louisiana, drink Crown. Seems accurate.

It's weird to me that so many adults want to drink a candy flavored shot that's only 60 proof.

That also gives you intense heartburn.

I'll take it when people buy it for me, which happens a lot, but its miserable. Also, Jack Fire is similar and better. Its not as syrupy.

They are all gross though.

I've never tried it. It's cinnamon flavored whiskey, right?

Yeah and its insanely sweet and syrupy. Its like they melted a giant bottle of cinnamon into bottom of the barrel whiskey to mask the taste.

Its truly gross. Still not as bad as Jager though IMO. Both are borderline undrinkable to me.

A bourbon priced well below its value.

Crown special reserve VS evan williams, evan williams every time.

For cheap bourbon, it's better than anything up to 20$ and quite a few above that.

Oh, I didn't realize it was sweet & syrupy as well.

So it's basically a glorified, spicy version of Southern Comfort then?

I agree. While not my first choice of bourbons, Evan Williams is not bad.

Its thick, syrupy, Southern Comfort. Nailed it.

And 60 proof so its less booze than actual whiskey. Oh and its usually like $5-7 a shot. You can get Makers shots for the same or less often times.

Yeah, think I'll pass. If I want something sweet, I'll have a candy bar. And I had no idea it was priced like that. $5-$7 a shot!?!?! For glorified cough syrup? Makes me think of the old saying about a fool and his money parting ways.
