On a day when the eyes of the e-nation are likely descending upon our quaint Tigerdroppings community to get a glimpse into the local gossip, it's more important than ever to put our best foot forward and show the rest of the country that we're not just a bunch of backward rednecks. Make no mistake: the press is about to put our fair city through the wringer, and it's up to most of you to remain silent and be thought a fool than to post and remove all doubt. The last thing we want right now is to be lurked by a bunch of judgemental Reddit users and have you start a thread that was funny in your head at the time but then flops miserably due to misspellings, racial undertones, etc.

For the love of [redacted], if you're thinking about starting a thread, post it here first and some of the more refined posters will tell you if you should start it or not. "Where can I buy a pair of Yeezys?" was preventable.

If you must post, please keep an eye on your prose and grammar. No "truck nuts" or "baw" talk until the investigation is over. If you see someone new, direct them away from the OT to some of the more tame and sophisticated boards like Food and Drink, Money, or Travel. If they're an international visitor and you're not comfortable admitting that you know about the soccer board, you can tell them there is an "alternative sports" board right above this one. Under no circumstances are you to mention the poli board.

If you see a thread from yogagirl, mizzoukillz, or rebeloke, please let it fall to the bottom or immediately RA. The "best place for local art" thread was a good idea, but specifying that it shouldn't be expensive is low brow. Right now we've got too many "cheap generator", "tools at low prices", and "lottery" threads going. It makes us look blue collar.

We only have one chance to make a first impression.
