This proves that warfare is a permanent and biological impulse shared by all primates, it is hard-wired, and, human beings will ignore this fact at their own risk.

I read about a study done on a remote village in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was a primitive group of about 80 people living in thatched huts.
Their territory overlapped with a group of about 30 mountain gorillas. So, the anthropologists took the opportunity to study the humans and the gorillas in the same environment.
Short story: The gorillas lived longer, had better social structure, fewer diseases, less violent death, less social strife, fewer parasites, and better overall health.
The humans had bigger brains, and a supposed sense of self. But they weren't able to translate that into a higher standard of living.

quote:Then do the behaviors of Bonobos "prove" that homosexuality, polygamy, and female dominated power structures are hard-wired?

Or maybe your idea of proof is more of a confirmation of the bias of your

I remember watching something that talked about this and how the Chimpanzee's had warring gangs.
They showed how one of the gangs hunted a group of monkeys. It was crazy how well planned the attack was.
One group of Chimps snuck around the back of the monkeys once they were in position the other Chimps charged them forcing them into the Chimps that had snuck behind them.
Not sure why I got a down vote
Here is the video I was talking about
