same here...I do it at night when in hotels, because it is not blocked by my company. I have never so much as signed on during working hours, though.

My company didn't track internet activity...until they did. My boss said I see you like tigerdroppings a lot...I said yep that's pretty much my news source.

He gave no fricks...but admittedly I got a bit lucky probably.

Yes, but why? If, as you say, the damage had been done (which I vehemently disagree with) why wouldn't the judge just let the police use these sites forever? Wouldn't they be able to catch more pedophiles?
Maybe they put a limit on it because it is fricking wrong. Maybe they should have never allowed it in the first place.

definition of promote

further the progress of (something, especially a cause, venture, or aim); support or actively encourage.

how is operating a CP website with the sole reason to have scum use it not furthering the progress of distributing CP? how is this not actively encouraging the distribution of CP, since that was the sole reason to leave it running?

you really don't see the good that came out of it? arresting 180 freaks will probably lead to finding more cp websites and more arrests.

was to catch pedophiles/sickos not...

so you would rather have the site shut down and the FBI not make any arrests?

awful argument

this could be made for "stop and frisk", thought policing, etc

its the definition of a "slippery slope"

just because positive results were born does not justify this behavior

and

that is a different argument to my post

how did they catch these guys? was it by distributing CP?

I'd rather the police not make arrests by using naked children. And I don't think that's an old request.

That would be like a prostitution sting where the john actually has sex with the prostitute and then is arrested.

And the prostitute is the cop.

Yea this is not like using undercover cops to play whores or putting out a bait car, or re-using seized drugs to set up new drug busts.

These frickers DISTRIBUTED PICS OF KIDS! I hope the FBI gets in trouble for this. The compromise was not worth the potential convictions of porn DOWNLOADERS(the least sick-fricked of the sick-fricked in that 'industry').

Didn't the FBI also violate federal hacking laws after they took over Playpen via the use of certain malware?
