I've spent the last two days helping my brother gut his house off of Bankston in Baptist. Just about every home in his subdivision got water Saturday. I walked outside to take a break and get some tools when a man was driving through telling folks the Chickfila was bringing food. About 6ish, they showed up with piping hot chicken sandwiches.

I know it wasn't much, but half the fast food places in town are closing at 4 or not opening at all. But not only are the Chickfila people going to work, they're helping their community. I thought it was a pretty awesome gesture.

I am not much on Chick-fil-A's food but their service and their commitment to community is awesome.

Was helping in another neighborhood near Hammond High and the same thing happened! Also a church group with pizzas then more people with gumbo. Restores my faith in humanity. I love the people of south louisiana.

Chick-Fil-A continues to amaze. I frequent that Hammond one about once a week and the place is always packed, yet they somehow always get the food out in a timely fashion with a smile on their face.

Vile sexist racist homophobic company. Government should shut them down. Everybody that is affiliated with CFA is just a despicable person.

I was soaked in sweat and covered in dirt and drywall dust. It tasted glorious.

And they were under no obligation to do anything. I very much appreciated the gesture.
