This thread is like watching a group of horse breeders laugh at the hiccups in the steam engine powered automobile in the 1880's. Never change OT.

Give us the process of manufacturing an EV battery and tell us how all of the materials are acquired.

Give us a rundown on the environmental impact of each material.

Always funny to see anti-tech weirdos pretend to care about the environment.

And yet here we are in the 2020s. Horse breeders still in demand and steam engines not so much.

It's crazy how EVs work for some people and not others.

Your hatred of a free market is noted.

no. you want to question people.... so i want to question you...i love technology.... I would love to have an EV to drive to my 10 miles to work every day, but thats what it would be for, and i would always have another vehicle, ie truck for when it is needed....

But I'm not dumb enough to think EVs are the best mode of power for all vehicles. A couple areas of technology that need to advance more before it "should" become more main stream:

Battery technology - Lith-ion, LiFePh4, solid state, etc ALL need to be more advanced. we do not have enough power storage efficiency to cover all basis. Carbon Chain batteries could change that, but we are decades away from those.

Power production- Get over it... most all power these EVs get are from fossil fuels. That is a fact. The tech of wind, solar, etc just isnt there. Winds sucks.... Solar could be the answer be we do not know how to efficiently catch solar yet.

IF you EV proponents really wanted to make your argument worthy, you should be pushing Nuclear power. At this time, it is a cleanest, most efficient power production process we have. But yall dont... So that proves, it isnt about the tech to yall... its about control.

You're blaming EV owners for lack of nuclear energy? That falls solely on the idiots we keep electing to run this country. What is crazy about this board is you actually have people in the middle of the bell curve to talk about EVs to and you guys act like this is Democratic Underground. Not a one person here wants to get one due to the environment. Just like owning a 69 Chevelle is not very environmentally friendly neither is an EV. Both are fun to drive and here we are being so miserable to crap on people having fun and not bothering anyone. Before you say it is being forced on you, again, it is the idiots who we elect. Everyone here will actually agree with you on thst as well.

yet "these people" you are claim me as, are the ones that are bothering about the EVs. not me...

on what? everything i posted earlier? i would hope so, its mostly facts with a few opinions that are widly accepted except by environmentalists. So why did you have a hissy fit over my post?

No i did not blame EV owners about lack of nuclear..... My whole posts was directed at dipshit Cuckeye and people like him who melt over people not fawning over EVs and claim EVs are the only future and nothing else will survive.

So, yes. Anti-tech.
