Trying to fix the horn in my son's car. I think it is a faulty switch in the steering wheel. Is there a way to disable the air bag? Take out airbag fuse or disconnect battery? I don't want to accidently trigger the airbag in the steering wheel.

And couldn't find a clear answer on Google.

I watched someone take an airbag to the face from about 6 inches away. You don't want that to happen.

I assume it's an older car where you don't have the option of using the key to turn off the airbag?

The drivers side can be turned off?

What are you doing to set it off? They don't go off unless you put an electric charge to them.

Unhooking the battery should work

What kinda car? Usually just disconnect battery, some vehicles you need to wait a few minutes even after battery disconnected.
