I've never heard this. I know there was a German POW camp near the town of Lorraine between Hammond and Goodbee during the war. There are a lot of people in St. Tammany with German ancestry but they were there long before WW2.

Dave Fortman is from Covington and is the lead guitarist for Ugly Kid Joe.

John Stirrat who is the bass player for Wilco and his twin sister is Laurie Stirratt who is a member of Blue Mountain...they both graduated from MSH in '85.

Fortman is also the producer for Evanescence and 12 Stones among others. He is a really good guy as well.
