Know nothing about it, Never been but might have a job opportunity there at terrebonne hospital. 2 boys 5 and 2.... would they need public or private school? Demographics?

I know there is nothing around there, but we currently live in Alexandria... can’t be much worse. I assume I’d have to just get a boat

Be careful about TGMC. Hospital is currently in the red about to be absorbed by Ochsner system. People are jumping ship there due to Ochsner. It's not the best employer

Get ready for a barrage of Houma hating from this board.
Truth be told, better than Alex, good family setting, but your wife will probably hate it.
It’s afforded me a good lifestyle.
Would suggest private school.
It’s a decent small town with little crime in close proximity to Nola and BR.

Live in thibodaux and not Houma. I’d rather raise my family there.

I'm from Houma, work in Houma but live in Thibodaux. Some nice public elementary schools but the problem is poor junior high and high schools. Nice 4 bed house is around $300k - $350k. Catholic elementary schools are about $3500 / year

Saw a few around 290k that looked nice, would be cheaper than our current house.

Not catholic are there any other private schools for elementary... I’ll take a look later
