I believe these cops were just waiting for the perfect chance to murder a black kid. This was the moment they dreamed of. This is why they even went to police academy. To murder one black kid.

Is this the same incident where the cop pulls up and automatically shoots the kid as soon as he gets out the car?

I remember thinking it looked bad the first time I saw it

Yes.

Most murders are crimes of passion.

The cop didn't wake up that day wanting to murder a black pre-teen, but he sure as hell went to sleep that night a murderer.

You mean the large kid threatening people in the park with a gun that looked real?

Only a matter of time until he killed someone for real and made a bunch of new criminal babies.

Probably better that he was snuffed out early before he did any more harm to society.

No, Bc that's called manslaughter. At least in Louisiana. Other states may have other terms but it's differentiated from murder.

And what would be the "passion" here? He saw a kid with a realistic looking gun and reacted too quickly? Then that's negligence. It's poor judgment. It's an awful mistake. It's not murder.

5'7 and 195 according to the coroner's report.

Yep, that's a giant right there.

The report, released Friday, showed Tamir stood 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighed 195 pounds. Tamir's appearance was "consistent with the reported age of 12 years old or older," the report said.

Love how the cops that shot him just walked around for four minutes and it took an FBI agent that was just passing by stopped and gave him mouth to mouth and gave him a chance to get to the hospital.

For a 12 year old?

No. Average height/weight for a 12 year old boy is 5'0" and 100 lbs.

Let' not let the facts get in the way of another Monday
A.M. QB session here from a bunch of fantasy players. The dispatcher told the unit responding there was a call of a person with a gun. She didn't tell them the initial call to 911 said it was probably a toy. They pull up and the (5'7'' 190 lb. male, about the average size adult you deal with on a daily basis) perp reaches for his waistband for appears to be a gun. They did approach too closely it appeared ?? I have no idea if they had any other path to him from further away from where they were. The driver put his partner in a no win situation and he responded. You can wait to get shot at to decide if it's an airsoft or paintball gun. The kid was an idiot and a 12 year old knows if you point or pull a weapon on a police officer you will be shot. Most kids know that by age 5. Let's face it, Tamir Rice would not have amounted to anymore than Freddie Gray if he were still alive.

Called in to 911 as someone pointing a GUN at people in the park. I guess if you don't tell someone you want to kill them you can just go around pointing a weapon at them with no recourse ? It's called agg. assault in LA, not sure what it's called in OH ?

This may seem weird, but I don't think that the cop that shot him was as much at fault. He was put in a precarious situation.

The cop that was driving, on the other hand, put Rice and his partner in a dangerous situation. There was no need to do something so reckless.

I'm sure the driver stopped where he and his murderous partner talked about stopping. the real idiots here are the person that called it in knowing that it was a toy and the idiot dispatcher. Then the cowboys and indians cops that showed up were the icing on the shitcake

Do you know if he could have approached from a different angle/further away ? Were there people in that park that the vehicle got b/t to prevent injury to them in case of gunfire ? No, but you want to fire the "useless cop driving the vehicle", yet you don't know the circumstances. One thing you do know is a 12 year old boy walked around a park with a fake handgun and pointed it at people. He also reached for it once the unit arrived. Was he crazy ? Probably, did he know it (the replica gun) would scare people, sure he did otherwise he wouldn't have been out there doing it. Bottom line is the kid put himself into that situation and as a result of his actions he is dead.

It's 12 year old with a toy gun. He didn't threaten anyone.
