Anybody done this? I have had multiple problems with my cox internet service. Slow speeds, intermittently going out and disconnecting devices. Cox has blamed it on my router (replaced it), my modem (replaced it), line problem ( they supposedly fixed it) but the problems persist. Time for somebody else to get a shot.

Do it and don't look back. Eatel is all fibre and service is locally based.

well right now the service i have from cox allows downloads up to 50mbps and costs me $72.99 per month. The same service from Eatel is $56. I can actually upgrade to the 100mbps speed for $76. Im having a hard time seeing a down side. What am I missing?

Eatel has been wonderful for us. It never goes down and the speed is insanely fast.

Cox is terrible. Wishing Eatel was in my neighborhood and as soon as they get here, I'm switching.

Had a squirrel eat through the main line. Took 3 weeks for them to get out to my house and repair the line... except they didn't. The lazy prick made up some excuse why he couldn't replace the line and rolled out. 3 more weeks of phone calls, and I finally got a squared away employee to come replace the line. I told Cox that if they ever sent "Marvin" back to my house, I'd call the cops as this man wasted more of my time and money than anyone ever has.

Planning on it. Signed up for cox a month ago. Offered me 150 Mbps for $65. Hadn't gotten over 100 once. Called cox yesterday to find out they offered me a plan that we don't have in LA, and they only put me on a 100 Mbps package, and didn't mention their error to me. Got transferred around 4 or 5 times and eventually some a-hole admitted that they made a mistake, but said he couldn't do anything but give me a $20 credit. frick that
