Really? The fact Shanesha ran through 114K like shite through a goose without a damn thing to show for it really flabbergasted the good Rev Maupin? I need to go meet this man. I've got a bridge he needs to buy.

Her horrible money spending habits have zero to do with her color.

This is why many poor people stay poor. Pathetic money management skills.

That, and they are bred into a welfare culture in which legitimate hard work and upward mobility are frowned upon.

It's a systematic problem. The welfare system promotes this. I'd bet most people blow their EITC on electronics, drugs, cigs and booze before trying to better their current situation.

If you think the US is bad now, wait until people stop buying shite they don't need.

Meh, everybody buys stuff they don't need and you can be the most frugal person in the country but you still probably want to buy food and necessities and even the occasional luxury.

I'd like to think I'm pretty responsible with money but I certainly didn't "need" to buy a Kindle since regular bound books continue to work just fine.

At the very least, we can agree that the reason schools don't have such classes in high school are more a function of short sightedness, rather than playing some long game to protect the national economy.

This reminds me of HUD saying that we needed mandate Section 8 housing in upper middle class neighborhoods because it would influence poor people to make something of themselves by living in a great environment.

frick.

That.

shite.

And frick Section 8. It's literally a dollar for dollar wealth transfer to shady landlords.
