FYI - N86531 Lockheed Constellation, built 1949 and delivered to Capital Airways in 1950 - retired 1965 and sold to Crash Landing in 1973. Flown to MSY and dismantled for transportation to the "Crash Landing" bar / nightclub

777 - you grew up in Metry ?

I was an early teenager when they shut down the CL in 1981. Later re-opened in the mid-80's which was during my partying days

that's cool, can't remember what they did with most of the plane but when it re-opened they just had a few parts there, wasn't the cockpit cut off and built into a wall?

Need more diversity at that crash site. Somebody should inform Gravy that there is inequity in BR crash landing response and investigations.

A successful crash landing with no injuries or damage in/near Baton Rouge and half the thread is trying to make it about black people.

Healthy behavior.

If I used your post to reply, it was out of convenience. I know nothing about the demographics of the metro's areas.

If I wanted to address your post, I would have quoted it.

There was a Mooney that crashed near Aberdeen, MS yesterday, killing two. It was headed to Madison.

"crash landed"

The proper phrase here is "Forced Landing", assuming reports are accurate about mechanical trouble.

Below is an audio link of the BTR Air Traffic Control communications.

The forced landing begins at 15:25.

The ATC lady did a good job as did the pilot (Earl Douglas) but the ground people at BTR need help, kind of embarrassing to BTR ops.

ATC Audio

I think the link is only up for 24 hrs
