I'd never claim that smut is any sort of high art. It's designed to tease and tantalize the baser instincts in lieu of the real thing. It's porn, just wrapped up in a more mental medium.

And since females are more mental it tends to appeal to them more in that sense.

ETA: who hurt you?

what would be wrong with me? Writing comes as easily as breathing. It just flows.

Don't you do art? Don't you just doodle sometimes?

i did for a long time. i haven't in a few years.
why do you think someone hurt me? why's it always got to be about relationships with you? i already know who hurt you though.

p.s. you were close. pull back on the whole whore aspect of it. that's what you replace with romance.

do people really have sex with emotion? you aren't having sex to feel in love with someone. so if you're writing about something you want people to read... you have to understand your readers.

and you, my friend, do not understand women. i've read your posts for long enough to know that.

i mean... sex satisfies the physical drive. emotional attachment comes with the territory- but it's not the driving force.

Then what is the driving force?

ETA-are you suggesting sex is the primary driver?

I'd say you are right. Pretty much all animal behavior is driven by 2 things, sex and death
