Driving out Highland in BR saw a huge arse pipe culvert thing. Looked at the sign, new subdivision. OK. Lots 100' x 200'. Lots starting at $350k? In BR? Are these going to sell?

You would be surprised at the amount of money in BR.
Is this the new area behind the pond they just had drained?

you would be surprised at what people are willing to pay to not live near the ghetto

Yep. What kind of house do you build on a $350k lot?

Do you think property in Baton Rouge is cheap?

At that price, I got a whole cul de sac. Figure I can use for game days and not be bothered by neighbors.

Unfortunately, no, but it should be. BR is vastly more expensive than any southern city comparable to its size.

About as small as you can get considering the massive A Hays Town knockoffs that will be built on them.

Rule of thumb, multiply cost of the lot X 5 to get the cost of the house.

Real estate is expensive for what you get in the larger south Louisiana cities considering the size and average income of the populated areas.

The price keeps the riff-raff away
It's nice

Indeed.
I didn't say Louisiana's home styles were distasteful. I just said they were overpriced for the size and scale of the metro.

Would not buy unless there's a loop exit within 1/2 mile.
