Why wouldnt the whole bolt flop out?
Posted on 10/25/18 at 6:36 pm to deeprig9
My guess is the nut is magnetic but the bolt isn’t.

But why would not being magnetic cause it to spin off the threads?

If the nut is magnetic with the correct polarity, the magnet repels it. And the only way off the bolt is to spin right off.

He got this from reddit. Some guy posted it is a trick and a battery is involved.

Bolt is probably non magnetic stainless steel, but don't understand why nut backs off the field. Seems counterintuitive.
