Orleans Parish Residents say Thanks Hattiesburg Cycles and Honda of Laurel, MS

"Holmes got a call from a key cutting store with reports of one of his stolen vehicles. Laurel Police Department has reached out to the New Orleans Police Department, but Holmes said they've had no luck.

"New Orleans said they do not have time worry about stolen motorcycles and they will not help us," said Holmes."

NOPD has built a Wall to protect our entrepreneurial citizens from out of state & non-Orleans Parish law enforcement agencies!

Cycle World of Houma Theft of 6 dirt bikes could be part of crime trend

ATTENTION LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES HERE ARE TWO OF THEM:
Two of these idiots were arrested in Biloxi in Feb for the exact same thing

20-40 year old black males seem to be the cause of 90% of the crime in south LA

they dont, and I dont blame them. I would rather NOPD focus on more serious matters.

I can almost promise this is false. NOPD has an auto theft division and investigating these crimes is all they do. Plus, it would be illegal for NOPD to say they don't have time to take a report on a crime.

Fair. The problem is that they don't.

Ah yes, like the 8600 hours of overtime used to remove statues.

Should read:
40 year old black males are the cause of 90% of the crime in south LA

not entirely true

a lot of white folks on the dockets for thefts, burglaries, domestic violence and drug use

and drug use is usually the underlying reason for the first three of those

Suzuki City in Biloxi has been busted into twice. The perps steal U-Hauls in Nola and drive over, steal their stuff and drive back home.

It has been proven by numerous legitimate studies that allowing the small crimes to go unchecked breeds larger crime. All of the liberals that scream "community policing" as a solution don't realize that community policing is a concept first developed in a seminal 1982 article called Broken Windows which states that:

quote:

The broken windows theory is a criminological theory of the norm-setting and signaling effect of urban disorder and vandalism on additional crime and anti-social behavior. The theory states that maintaining and monitoring urban environments to prevent small crimes such as vandalism, public drinking, and toll-jumping helps to create an atmosphere of order and lawfulness, thereby preventing more serious crimes from happening.

In other words, people that live in a shitty ghetto will act like ghetto dwellers. People who live in a clean, ordered environment will act more like law abiding citizens.

But this causes liberals heads to explode when they get community policing and all of a sudden the police are citing people for littering and such while Code Enforcement starts hauling off abandoned cars and condemning crack houses.

AWESOME link. Best thing about it is there are six boys out doing boy stuff and not staring at a video game or cell phone.

BTW, great user name.

Suzuki City - 2 times
Honda of Lauerl- 2 times
Hattiesburg Cycles
Cycle World
GN Gonzales
Friendly Powersports

All of these dealers have been hit in the last 3 months by the same people. 4-6 people in a UHaul truck that bust the front window out, steal dirt bikes and are gone in less than 2 minutes. My buddy does the inventory check for the floor plan company and he said they have stolen around $250k in bikes.

Shouldn't I be able to get a great deal on a dirt bike from Craigslist or something at this point?

Lol, no, they sell them on the street in New Orleans. Have you noticed the recent uptick of "Ruff Ryder" wannabes on Atv's & dirt bikes on N.O. city streets? Direct correlation.

"They're professionals at what they do," said store owner, Randy Holmes. "That's all they do. That's their jobs."

Maybe that's how this profession operates in little ol Laurel Mississippi but here in New Orleans the job of the NOPD is to passively monitor in a professional manner. The NOPD operates professionally in their job as set forth in the consent order implemented under the Obama Administration.
