Strangers who approach you to ask you for money, a ride, or to use your phone

I get extremely, extremely irritated when this happens. No, I don't have 50 cents, no I'm not going to drive you to an area of town with a high crime rate, and no I'm not going to hand over my phone to you.

But, how do you expect them to get the money they need for the bus to Lafayette?

i've never done this but i heard a great strategy for this

when you see them approaching, just approach them and ask them if they have any money they're willing to give you

When I see our local gas station bums coming sometimes I meet them halfway and start asking them if they have any money they could give me. It throws them all the hell out of sorts and they move along pretty fast.

I usually drive them to the Amtrack Station and offer to buy them a one way ticket to Austin or Houston.

Funny that you say that. As I was leaving, the guy was talking to a black customer in the parking lot and the black person said "none of these white people would help you?"

I just hope they don't have a gun.
It happens around LSU all the time.

Same, but I get even more irritated and pissed when people actually give them shite.

It's like feeding a stray.

Many of them think handing a bum a dollar is all Jesus asks of them. I mean, he can appear in many different forms, right?

I won't say I've never given money before. But I won't ever do it again. Can't tell the people who really need it and would use it for food versus those that wouldn't.

So I say I don't have cash. If they keep pressing I keep walking and tell them to leave us the hell alone.

You ever see the YouTube video of the guy that picks up the truckload of day laborers at Home Depot and drives to the Border Patrol station?

I keep a stash of ones called a homeless fund in my truck visor. I always have one in my pocket and I give it to them before they start talking. I'd rather give them a dollar than listen to them.

The people I hate more than anything are those who I give a dollar to and they say "can you just listen for a second man". And then ask for money money. It drives me fricking insane.

I always respond with, "I was just about to ask you the same thing."

I once had one of these types come up on me so fast in a parking lot, I drew my pistol on him. I thought I was about to be carjacked. He put his hands up and said "Man, I just needed money to get to the hospital" and ran off.

I dated a girl who said exactly this after she gave a bum $20.

So I drove around the parking lot a followed the guy until he went into a video bingo hall. I guess Jesus likes to let it ride
