Exactly my thinking. I got called biphobic because a girl I know has a boyfriend and her being bisexual came up somehow and I said “sure you are.” She freaked out lol.

I’ve noticed this with high schoolers & younger 20s. I have a 14 year old, and probably 75% of her friends identify as some non-straight sexual preference (bi, pan, etc.). It’s like…in trying to be unique, you’re just like everybody else.
I have a 22 y/o relative who posts things about bisexual pride, etc., yet she’s only dated men. I really don’t understand the need to advertise your sexuality in the first place. If you’re dating a guy (she is), your sexuality is irrelevant. You’re with one person. Being bisexual doesn’t give someone freedom to be with multiple partners. It’s all dumb.

I find it interesting when a married woman comes out on social media as bi, and I have seen that a lot. One that did this was a church leader and then got mad when they didn’t want her. Like why the f even say it, just do your damn thing, nobody cares.
