Grew up in Ville Platte and it's sad to see the crime that has permeated into the core of the town. Per KATC, store robbed and lady storeowner shot and killed. Very sad situation.

Ville Platte Police are looking for the man who murdered a woman inside a grocery store in Ville Platte just before noon Monday. Police say the suspect shot her and got away on a blue Schwinn bicycle. He is described as black male wearing a gray bandanna, camouflage pants and a white t-shirt. Call 911 immediately if you see him.

Store's on Lincoln Rd. Owned by a Vietnamese family. Used to be called Ray's back in the day.

Shouldn't be hard to find.

I applaud VP for giving a great description of the killer...unlike NOLA.

Yep the robber shot into the ceiling first and the owner was in the back office and had a gun and shot the robber dead on the spot. Apparently this person didn't fire a warning shot first.

Yep.
Takes a special kind of AH to do something like this.

That description wouldn't get you very far in New Orleans anyway

VP either. That area of town looks like a third world country.

Especially once you get off of Lincoln Rd. into the neighborhoods. It has spiraled downward quickly. My old neighborhood too is just as appalling.
