State Farm, the state's largest automobile insurer, got approval to raise auto insurance rates as drivers returned to roadways in Louisiana.

The company increased auto insurance rates by an average 4.3% as of April 5 for new customers and existing customers as their auto policies are renewed.

They blame people returning to the roads.

I hear that. But I wonder who is saying that? Part of me wonders if that is crap the insurance companies are putting out there to justify prices then I look around at the dindus filling up this state, so it’s probably true

Bout done with state farm. Hit a deer last winter and when I called in to report it, they didn't even ask if I was ok. Same agent since I was 15 and got my first truck.

Sounds reasonable...they lowered my rates due to the lack of traffic and now traffic is back to normal. I’ll be anxious to see if they raise it back to the previous rates or if they try to raise it more.

Wait, didn't we pass a law that guaranteed this wouldn't happen?

Unfortunately loyalty don’t mean crap to these companies. Have to call around and find the lowest prices and jump ship from time to time.

People doing the exact thing they’re paying insurance for?

Insurance companies are nuts.

It hasn't been in effect but a few months. Should we see the full benefits yet?

Cars driven by uninsured should be impounded
