Gyms gonna start having standing classes. Teacher gonna be all "No! No! You're doing it wrong down on the floor like that!"

Oh I can imagine. I don't mind being on my feet at work. But I like when it's a nice balance. Those nights where I'm running nonstop for several hours, not even having time to pee, those are the ones that will be detrimental to my health as I get older.

Do medical staff still wear crocs or has that fad faded?

Yeah being as busy as you are in a medical setting would suck. I'd think the stress and pressure is more detrimental than te physical aspect tho. I can't imagine the toll the mental aspect of your job must take on your overall health.

I believe it. I am lucky enough that I am standing and walking all day at work. I would go crazy if I had to sit for 8-9 hours a day.

It's crazy when you think the average person sleeps 8 hours a day, sits at their desk 8 hours a day, sits in their car for an hour a day, sits on their couch and/or the dinner table for 2 hours a day. They only walk and stand to get another coke from the vending machine, or to get to another place to sit. We weren't made to live like that. No wonder our health is shite.

I haven't seen those at work in a long time. I'm sure some still wear them.

I never did. I don't like clogs in general for work. You can't run in them. First time a mom calls out that her kid ain't breathing I'll end up breaking something trying to run to the room.

Try running in clogs, it's difficult.

I only wear Alegria's now. My husband says they are the ugliest shoes on the face of this earth...but they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn to work.

What really sucks is that you can end up sitting for 2-3 hours without even realizing it. If I don't make a conscientious effort to stand or move, I'd sit at my desk all day. It fricking sucks cause my weekends are usually spent in motion. I wasn't intended to sit on my arse all day
