Sound advice and that's what I did. She apologized for asking so it's all good. It's actually a pretty solid situation because she has her kids most of the week so she's only available one night a week and on weekends. Nice girl and an OT 8 who loves the D.

P.S. You guys should listen to Paige more. Sounds like a wise chick.

fair point well made

Just giving my opinion as a not insecure woman. I've heard a hundred stories that include my new bf's exes in the past month. And I've talked about mine. It's scarier if the person doesnt have any exes

Casually mentioning an ex in conversation? Big fricking deal. She's probably insecure

She has a valid point. Imagine if she mentioned her ex a few times. It'd make anyone question if she wasn't over him.

Shoot straight with her. It's not that hard.

Mentioning someone doesn't mean you're hung up on them. If you mention a friend are you hung up on them?

Well most people were friends with their exes while they dated. I swear I think this board is full of virgins more and more every day

And that's a really stupid reason to call and complain to someone you've been seeing two weeks

What? Friends and exes aren't the same thing.

If kids are involved then it brings a new dynamic to this whole conversation. Kids or not, you try to remain civil to your former S/O. However, you're not hanging out with them on the weekends like an old college buddy.

My point: if I'm involved with a girl "seriously" then I'd rather not sit there and talk about a dude she was banging a few months back.

it depends on the context. stuff like this are reasons you need to not tell the whole truth to women. If you are just bringing shite up about your ex out of no where, then you have the problem. Women dont want to be compared to other women. Ive made that mistake before, even though i wasnt trying to compare. Just sometimes stuff comes up provoked. Best just not to mention the ex.
