Trying to decide between the Grande and La Toc for honeymoon. Any recommendations? Thanks

We just got back this week from La Toc. It was awesome. 95% of the people are honeymooners and I'd say 80%+ were between 25-30 yrs old. The Grande was nice, but I believe they allow kids there (saw a few groups of them when we visited). La Toc is couples only. We also talked with some people who were staying at the Grande who visited La Toc. they said La Toc was much more fun, and more more to do, but the Grande had a nicer beach. More bars and restaurants at La Toc as well.

Do the Joe Knows excursion and get JR or BK as your guide.

Do the adults only one. I have kids and love kids, but a honeymoon is not for kids.

We did the Grande. If you want to just lay on the beach and booze this is the one for you. I've heard the restaurants at La Toc were better but we didn't really care for that. From what I understand the Grande had the much nicer beach and it really was beautiful. If you choose the Grande rent a Cabana for a few days. Well worth the money.

This is correct. I prefer the Grande to La Toc because we are beach people, but the restaurants at La Toc are better. You still get to eat at the resturants at any resort on the island though. Just take the shuttle to whatever resort you want to eat at

We stayed at La Toc, but honestly I'm not a huge fan of all-inclusives. When I go somewhere I like to explore and go to bars/restaurants off the property. When we went to Costa Rica we found a happy balance, the resort we stayed at had a restaurant and breakfast was included in the cost of the resort, but the bar and lunch/dinner was a la carte.
I'm also not a fan of booking excursions through the resort. In both places I made friends with a taxi driver early on and basically hired them for the trip. We saved a ton of money, could explore at our own pace, and if we saw something else we were interested in on the way we could stop.

Please don't go to st Lucia to stay at a resort.
It takes 3 hrs I think to get from end to end. the piton side is where it's at. Consider splitting your stay between each side.
